I couldn't go to sleep on the plane...
some happy tipsy... loud people going to Marti Gras in New Orleans ( my layover) started partying on the plane... I want to go next year..
when they left ... still no sleep...
My uncle told stories about growing up in the country... who knew the Sears Catalogue was used for toilet paper in a out house... so funny
Next day I met SK's father who was a Green Barret and jumped out of planes... cool
SK(who loves his tiny little shorts), De and Zellca
Valentines... we hung out with my sister's friend Niecee and my sis..
De laughed at Niecee who hurt her toe trying to run UP the DOWN escalator... she tripped and fell... then we found out that De danced on a table top
SK bought roses for my mother and myself from a nice hardworking pregnant Haitian lady who was working by the side of the road all by herself...
SK Suffered through the movie " Confessions of a Shopaholic"

I wonder how New Orleans looks today. I was there in March 1998. A wonderful city. We stayed in the French Quarter, visited the cemetery where a VooDoo queen is buried, saw all the wonderful "Scarlett O'Hara" houses, took a look at the museum and ate good food.

This was the first time I was in Orlando and didn't stay at home... mom didn't like that at all... called all the time " Come home.. you think you are grown"... didn't want to hear all that... she was the only down side to the trip...

Your pictures show a good time. SK is considerate... visiting/attending events and going out with De/friend. He has a nice smile. He calls, texts, buys your ticket, buys you AND your Mom flowers, takes you to meet HIS family, goes a to movie probably not his first pick. He makes you feel like you're special. It takes a long time to really know someone, but I LIKE SK. More mature.
To your Mom, I am sure she WAS totally shocked not just to see you, but with SK who she has never seen or even heard of and you were just there. And the fact that he bought your ticket makes for even MORE drama.
I'll watch the videos tonight and look for more on this wonderful Valentine's week. You're lucky!
