I don't get it... you need to have more variety in your late night programming... it's a different time and you are going backwards... NBC use to be the trail blazer... Diane Carroll, The Cosby show... you need a Latino show, Asian show,another Cosby type show, a Latino game show host... and Asian host of a America got Talent type show... something!

Look at Oprah (black)... The View(black (D), Italian,(D)black(D) young white,(R)old white) Ellen(Gay), Tyra (black/slightly ghetto) ,Chelsea Handler (Female, Jewish and out there with a midget), Jimmy Kimble(Jewish), Craig Ferguson (?)etc.

There are millions of people who you are not even trying to reach ... color watch color

My mother called upset because she tried to get rid of two birds that flew on the porch ... she sprayed the birds and one had a heart attack .. I don't know how my mother knew the bird had a heart attack but that's what she said...

Was I having too good of a day... must have been cuz my sister called...


So my sister tells me that my mother's brother ... wife and two kids are moving in for two weeks... My mother is such a Saint! Now I got to tell her she has no water or power! Great... just great! I am going to need more prayer MD!

I haven't left my Apt. all day I have been on the phone relaying messages to Mom and De... but I don't know what's going on... someone is lying...





The Conclusion...

My mother made it down to the water and power place... they charged her only 150... nothing about fraudulence or court or what ever my sister said...

Before my mother got home... the guy was in the yard cutting the water and power back on and apologized for turning it off.. they guy apologized and was sorry... hmmm

G Mom do you think they are only going to stay two weeks.. that 's four grown people...

Mom --- That's my brother... these are hard times for everyone... he's a dreamer... that's nice he has a dream about his business ... it didn't work and he lost everything but... it's nice to dream he can stay here... we have lights and every thing....

... I don't know what De said to the water people... I don't know... she isn't going to change you should have heard all the horrible things she said about Unc and family... she doesn't realize she is in the same position... the same one...

G -- ( man... I will never ever be as nice as my mother never... ever... EVER... she is adding 4 more people with no rent and not complaining... )

Mom --- on the way to the water power place... you know Jan... (yes) well her brother was put in a hospice and they are not feeding him or giving him water... they just waiting for him to die...

G --- no food or water? not even a IV

Mom --- No and Jan is so upset... so why would I get upset about not having water and power?... And when I went down there... the people were so nice and didn't charge me the 7oo... God is good.

... I rather be the one to help people then be the one who needs help... I will be in trouble if I depend on your sister.

(My mom typical... happy bouncing around)

G-- You must have been angry when she was born or something..

Mom --- ha ha no no.... (pause) I am just so thankful that you called me... you help this family so much

G--- ( she has got to be kidding... I am not worthy of a mother like this... I don't contribute... anything!... some laughter now and then.... how can someone be so nice? My mom gets nothing in return... one daughter run off to Calif... and the other... whatever)

Sunday The children's choir director gave me a tiny Piano for playing piano for the kids all year... Luis Oliart got a tiny Guitar... Thanks... ( Not to toot my own horn... but I want people to know that I don't just talk and do foolishness )

Tuesday I went to my 92 year old Neighbor's senior center on Crenshaw... (The center needs a lot of things... they have exercise class in a small room with a huge table they have to pretend most of the exercises and just look at pictures because there is no room... but all I had was my camera )

Sister Gertha doesn't let anything stop her... not even exercising with only one leg... Never complained ... never said " I can't do this"... I thank the two Hispanic teachers... ( I thought that black and brown don't get along... that is what is on the news... I mean this is the hood of Crenshaw... and race never came up... when you are getting help... having a great time... no one cares about color)I have never met people who were so excited to take pictures... they enjoyed the extra attention from a younger person who took time with them ...I was over the hour long prayer for Obama...I asked this guy why are you crying? "

When I was growing up... Is knowed so many peoples who got kill-did or put in jail for looking at a white gal or talking wrong to " Uncle Charlie" I have seen lynchings.., I have seen da burning crosses.... but I luvs all God's chillin' eben whites..

This blond AFRO- American woman ... changed the channel to "The Price is Right"...( THE NERVE) If there is one thing I know... it's don't mess with a black woman and her Price is Right...

I witnessed my Madear beat my cousin(with the wooden stick that kept the window open... she just grabbed it right out the window)for asking " May I have a glass of water?" during the Price is Right! ( Are you crazy ... I just backed up out the way) ...

Nothing comes between old black women and Bob Barker... I guess it's the same for Drew Carey I don't have money to give ...yet... but I can give my time... and my time was priceless to Mrs. Gertha C. she introduced me to everyone.. "My Neighbor came with me"... "Meet my neighbor she came with me"... I felt like Jay must when he get all that applause! --- Later on that night... I went to Bible Study with Sister Gertha... the Church Van picked us up...Interesting .... pictures of Rodney King and his beating on the wall ,that's odd at a church ... wasn't that long ago... Can we all get along? Can we really?


Rodney's beating happened right outside the church... They don't want to forget ... they prayed for Obama also... ( I prayed for both candidates and who ever the running mates will be)I met Black people who remember everything... and I have met white people who don't remember anything... My life is very extreme... can't learn anything standing in one spot...

MoM--- Saint.. Sister... Aint... they both live together in Florida...

(about a month ago... Mom's water bill was up to 700 dollars because there was a leak... my mother gave my sister the money to go down to pay the bill but my sister went out of town and didn't pay it.. they went without running water for like 7 or 8 days...)

TODAY:

De--- Your mom is so stupid...
Glo--- Hi... I thought my week was going too well thanks for bringing me back to purgatory which I call my Florida Life...
De--- Your Mom is going to go to jail...

Glo... WHAT?... Did she try to break out Wesley Snips with her "Prayer Group"?
De--- No Stupid Our lights is off! She trying not to pay dem people... those people aren't playing...
She don't want to pay... and now she is in trouble... okay... I will call her...

De --- I need to move ( you think?) something about this house.... ( yeah I believe that)

G -- I will call mom right now...

G--- Mom... how are you?
Mom --- I'm... doing okay... glad to hear from my good daughter
G --- ( no pressure...) So... um... it's still day time there?

Mom --- the people came out to cut the water off today... but I talked to them and they are on now... but I have to go and meet with some group.
G -- De said that you don't want to pay them...

Mom--- Your sister didn't pay the bill went out of town... I gave her more money to pay it because I work everyday and I was going to get my treatment ( she had cancer in her upper eye lid) but she went down there and tried to put the bill in her name so there wouldn't be a bill anymore...

Well the bill was in Gody's name ( my God Mother who lived with us ) so I just paid the bills after your father died... I didn't change anything I just sent the money in... until this leak thing happened..

Gody's died in 86 and it since De tried to change the bill... they looked up everything... and now it's going to Fraudulence something or nother... cuz the bill is in the name of someone who has been dead for many years...

GloZell--- ( I got nothing to say... )

Mom --- GloZell?

G--- Yes Momma I'm here ... so they think that ... ummm... don't ghetto people put bills in their children names and stuff... I mean if the bill kept coming and you kept paying it.... I don't think that should be... like... too bad...

Mom --- Oh (sighing) I don't know.... De should have just paid the bill ...

G--- The problem is you are a sophisticated Nigra you need to learn how to be ghetto... call Dad's people Moochie n' dem and find out what to do... I know LaTonya got bills in all five of them kids... I know you don't associate with them but a rah... I bet they can tell you how to get out of this...( Laughing)

Mom ---( Laughing) GloZell you can make something funny every time.... ha ha... They do it on purpose and don't get caught... Gril you might be saying that for a joke but... you right I need to call them...

(Mom and I sing old church songs over the phone... " Jesus Can Work it out" 'One Day at a Time.'.. we are in two different states in two different keys but... no problem)

G -- Your meeting will go fine... wear the oldest church dress you got and your hat... and they have the proof that you were paying the bill until that 700 dollar bill... they had to know that that was a leak... they might take some of the money off...

Mom--- Ha I doubt that... GloZell take care of yourself... you still off eating meat...
G --- Yep... and nothing else that comes from animals... as far as food

Mom --- That's good... you always do what you say you gone do... I'm proud of you... Jay Leno is going to use you... I can feel it...

G --- (Jay Leno can't keep his own job)... Thanks for being proud...

Mom-- remember your fathers last words... "Yaw'll leave GloZell alone.".. remember... he had to take his walk after his heart surgery and I wanted you to go with De and me but you stayed on his bed to watch your show...

G ... Passions! On NBC... man I loved that show... that's right...

Ozell Green (Dad was yelling this as he was walking to the hallway)

Leave GloZell alone! you know she always love her shows... let her watch her show!... she don't bother anyone.. so don't bother her... she can stay... I'll be back... ( He was angry like... but that's how he was)

(yep Dad made me take his leg into the store with out him) She brings me a glass of water, and food... push my wheel chair.. and never complains... none of you all do a Da** thing for me... My eyes were glued to the TV... I was glad to be by myself watching Passions with remote control...

Dad took one step out the door... and I heard ya'wll screaming Help Help... I was frozen on the hospital bed... the nurse yelled at me ... GET UP... and they got dad on the bed and put those things on Dad's chest...

I was looking but I knew that Dad was gone and they were waisting time...

G--- Interesting

Mom--- What is?

G --- umm... I think dad might be... nah... I mean Dad and I watched the Tonight Show together...nahhh ... yeah I don't know... Dad never got a chance to go to the Tonight Show when he was ... nah

Mom --- You would always wait up for him after work... Never would go to bed... I would get mad at him letting you stay up and watch that show... but I can't say nothing to your father

Mom --- You think Ozell is going to .. The... Tonight Show? Now? Girl you a mess... ha ha If your dad is haunting the Tonight Show... I feel sorry for dem people... your father was something else...

G --- No Ma that's crazy okay... Mom ... love you ... let me know how the meeting goes...
